JOTA's inaugural FIA World Endurance Championship season as both a factory team and with Cadillac had some big moments in amongst a good first year, JOTA Sport founder and director Sam Hignett said.
'A season of some massive highs with the front row lockout at Le Mans and the first and second in Brazil,' he said.
'And great testament to Cadillac and to the team for the 12 to be the only Hypercar to score points in every race, so that’s something we should be really proud of. Good first year, good foundation to move forward on.'

Indeed, the team's #12 car, with drivers Alex Lynn, Norman Nato, and Will Stevens, was the only car to score points in every WEC race in 2025.
They crowned this off with Cadillac's first WEC win at the 6 Hours of Sao Paulo in July, a 1-2 finish with the sister #38 car, driven by Sebastien Bourdais, Jenson Button, and Earl Bamber.
In addition, Lynn took pole at Le Mans with the sister car again behind, locking out the front row. While the car clearly had unbeatable pace over a single lap, unfortunately it wasn't the same story in the race.

Stevens, who started the car at Le Mans, got overtaken almost immediately on the first lap on the first part of the Mulsanne Straight by Julien Andlauer. The #12 car eventually finished fourth in the 24 hour classic – not a bad result, but not what Cadillac and JOTA would have been hoping for.
Nato, Lynn and Stevens finished fifth in the championship, on 93 points. The win at Interlagos was their only podium over the year. It has already been confirmed the trio will return with JOTA and Cadillac for another year.

On Cadillac's side, they've been happy with the performance from the team and are gearing up for another year in WEC together. They'll have the benefit of an upgraded car, too, as the V-Series.R will receive aerodynamic updates to reduce drag and improve the car's top speed, which hampered it this year, especially at Le Mans.
'This season has been a remarkable journey with JOTA. We’ve had so many learnings that we’ve taken away from the full season here,' Keely Bosn, Cadillac Racing program manager, said.

'We’re happy with the overall performance we’ve seen from the team. The collaboration and communication have been so strong that going into the next season we’re extremely excited to continue our partnership with JOTA.'
In the #38 car, Bourdais and Bamber will return, with Jack Aitken replacing the retiring Jenson Button. Aitken will prioritise his IMSA Sportscar Championship campaign with fellow Cadillac factory partner team Action Express Racing, meaning at some races Bamber and Bourdais will race as a duo.

'Overall, for the season, it has been a positive year,' Stevens said, after the Bahrain WEC test and participating at IMSA's test at Daytona with Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing, where the new 2026 parts were tried out for the first time.
'The encouraging thing is there were clearly races where we missed points where we should have scored better and deserved to score better.
'In our first year together with Cadillac and JOTA, honestly a lot of positive things to take away and there are clearly things we can improve on. I’m excited to have a few months to put those things in place.'
Stevens will begin his 2026 season as part of Cadillac Wayne Taylor Racing's Daytona lineup, in the #10 car alongside Ricky Taylor and Filipe Albuquerque. WTR are Cadillac's other factory team in IMSA, alongside Action Express.
The 2026 WEC season, meanwhile, will begin on 28th March in Qatar, at the Lusail International Circuit, which will host the 1812km Qatar.
