Toyota recently teased that it will update its Hypercar, the GR010 Hybrid, next year, giving the car a revised look which Toyota says will bring the car more in line with its current crop of roadcars.
The GR010 Hybrid has competed in WEC since 2021 and hasn't changed an awful lot since then. With the huge influx of manufacturers into WEC over the last few years, the competition for Toyota has increased and subsequently, the need for the car to be updated has also increased.
As if to symbolise this need to update its car, without a race victory in 2025, this could be the first year Toyota goes without a win in FIA World Endurance Championship competition since 2015, when Audi took two wins and Porsche took six.
Additionally, the team currently sits fourth in the manufacturers' championship standings, behind Ferrari, Porsche, and Cadillac, all of whom have won races this year.
Toyota has been testing its newly-updated car at Paul Ricard this week. Only Endurance has obtained some photos and videos from the test, clearly showing the updated front and rear bodywork of the GR010 Hybrid.
The car is adorned in a camouflage livery in an attempt to disguise the details of the new parts. However, it seems to feature more aggressive aerodynamics, with revised headlights and nose, plus a new rear wing and diffuser.
Without further ado — see below for shots and short videos of Toyota's newly-updated car for 2026. Additionally, there are some shots of the Aston Martin Valkyrie, which also tested at Paul Ricard. This includes a short video showcasing the scream of the Valkyrie's naturally-aspirated V12 engine.
