BMW have unveiled a new IMSA livery for its two M Hybrid V8s that will race this year in the IMSA Sportscar Championship.
The carbon fibre part of the livery is gone, replaced by a matte black asymmetrical section of the car at the front.
The other sections are – no surprises here – white, red and blue, with the blue section stretching across the rear fin and bodywork of the car.
In addition to the new livery, BMW have also tweaked the aerodynamics at the front of the car, making the kidney grilles at the front smaller.
Team WRT heads stateside
However, this year will mark more than a tweaked livery for BMW's IMSA programme.
Rahal Letterman Lanigan, BMW's factory partner team in the US for many years and since 2023 for the GTP programme specifically, are out. Replacing them as operators of the programme are Team WRT, who additionally run the WEC campaign for the German manufacturer.

This will be WRT's first foray into racing in the IMSA, and has seen them build a team from the ground up for their debut campaign in the North American championship.
Driving the #24 and #25 BMW M Hybrid V8s will be some familiar names to fans of the WEC Hypercar team.
In the #24 will be Dries Vanthoor, Sheldon van der Linde, Robin Frijns and Rene Rast. Over in the #25, Philipp Eng, Marco Wittmann, Kevin Magnussen and Raffaele Marciello will be behind the wheel.
WRT will make their IMSA debut at Daytona in just over a week's time, racing in the full season. Alongside that the team will also be running BMW's factory WEC campaign, as they have the past two seasons.
